Head along to the Urban Country Music Festival this weekend

ByJames Brown

Moreton Bay residents are in for a treat this weekend as the Urban Country Music Festival descends on the region.

From Friday 1 May, over 100 country and indie artists will play over the three-day festival across six different stages, offering those living in real estate in Burpengary a wonderful way to spend their weekend.

Moreton Bay Regional Council's Division Three councillor Greg Chippendale said this is the twelfth year of the festival, and it's gearing up to be the biggest and best one yet.

"From laying hay bales, stacking the fridges and clearing the way for the stage construction, the Urban Country Music Festival relies on the enthusiasm and commitment of its volunteers to keep everything running like clockwork. They do a fantastic job and are an important part of the festival," said Mr Chippendale in a 29 April statement.

For fans of country music living in the region – or simply those interested in a fun outing – the Urban Country Music Festival could be a wonderful opportunity to get out and about this weekend.
