Burpengary to host battle for the Councillors Cup

Getting into the local sporting spirit is never too difficult when you move into rental property in Morayfield, with this weekend set to be no exception.

The Moreton Bay Central Sports Complex will be hosting the Councillors Cup on 28 February, as well as the eagerly anticipated NAB Challenge.

"It's a Festival of Football that delivers the best of both worlds; two of our best local teams vying for the Councillors Cup and the stars of the big league, all on the same oval," said mayor Allan Sutherland.

Gates to the event open at 12 pm. and the festival will get started with the 2015 Councillors Cup, shortly followed by the Brisbane Lions and St Kilda NAB Challenge at 3:10 pm.

The buses will run from 11:30 am to 7 pm, so there's every opportunity to make a day of it and cheer on your favourite team.
