Enjoy Good Friday at the Redcliffe Festival of Sails

By James Brown

With Good Friday just around the corner, preparing for Easter is an exciting time for families – especially the children! But if you're stuck trying to find something to do on the day, it could be worth considering the Redcliffe Festival of Sails.

Moreton Bay Regional Council mayor Allan Sutherland said the spot was perfect for watching the annual Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race, with hundreds of people gathering for shared community enjoyment of the day.

"An eclectic line up of music, seaside markets, carnival rides and children's beachside activities makes it the perfect destination for families to kick-off the Easter long weekend," said Mr Sutherland in a 11 March statement.

"But the Redcliffe Sails Festival on Good Friday wouldn't be complete without a visit by the Easter Bunny who will skydive from 14,000 feet onto the beach for the traditional and much-loved Easter Egg Hunt."

Starting at 9 a.m. and running through to the late afternoon, the Redcliffe Festival of Sails could be a wonderful way to begin your Easter celebrations. Residents of real estate in Burpengary should gather friends and family together and head along to Redcliffe on 3 April for a day of revelry!
