Burpengary Residents Welcome Digital Mailboxes

By Jason Dunne

Anyone living in Burpengary Real Estate should find interacting with Moreton Bay Regional Council much easier, thanks to the launch of a new digital mailbox.

The Australia Post Digital MailBox is billed as an online personal management tool where residents can receive post, pay their accounts and store documents.

Councillor Bob Millar, corporate services spokesperson for the council, said it is not always easy for people to get to the local post office or a customer services centre, especially if they are working or regularly away from home.

He continued: “With the Australia Post Digital MailBox residents can access their mail for free from council, set reminders and pay their accounts anytime and anywhere.”

All people need to access their account is an internet connection, Mr Millar stated, which will allow them to control everything from the payment of rates to registering their pets.

Users are given the opportunity to upload any personal documents to the online server.

The council believes this will be popular as people can easily locate the information they are looking for in future.

Registration for the MailBox is free and can be completed online through the council’s website.
